About ME:
I'm a thirty-something Jersey Shore native who lives for warm weather and beach time. I'm married with two fur-babies and we are slowly but surely making our house a home. I own two businesses (one seasonal) with my family and I find that being a business owner gives me a different perspective on just about everything than most people. I overworked myself for too many years and wound up battling for my health for 7 years before I finally found some answers. I'm still on the journey of getting back to healthy, but at least now I am on the right path and have faith that I will, one day soon, declare myself healthy again.
I wrote this blog because I felt a pull to share my story. I don't think it is unique, but I do think that most people aren't willing to share the ugly sides of what they go through. Everyone just wants to share the highlights, the "look at me, I'm so awesome, I have everything figured out" perfectly styled instagram posts. Our freedoms as Americans are being called into question now more than ever, and that's why I felt like the timing was right to share my experiences. This is my story of the complete and utter failure of the American healthcare system and why I will NEVER trust anyone but myself with my life and health decisions.
